Welcome to the Hyde Park View!

Smart Hyde Park View Hostel is perfectly located in the heart of London, created with the hostel traveller in mind. Located near Europe’s most popular shopping areas, Portobello Market, Knightsbridge and Oxford Street, we are less than 100 meters from one of the city’s biggest and most famous parks. A short walk from many of the iconic and famous sites, we’re located in an ideal area for any type of trip. Stroll down any of the streets in the area and feel like your part of a movie set, either in Portobello Market in Notting Hill or like Royalty in the surrounding royal parks.

Smart Hyde Park View Hostel provides safe and one of the cheapest hostels in London. Every room has en-suite facilities, and is key card locked as is entry to the main part of the building, security lockers in every room, we have a small bar in our entrance which is perfect for a quiet drink before or after a wild night, with this in mind we provide a 24 hour reception and security.

Local sights within walking distance from the hostel include; Oxford Street, Hyde Park, Portobello Market, Notting Hill, Kensington Gardens, Diana Memorial, Speakers Corner, Knightsbridge, National History Museum, Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Albert Memorial, Paddington Station, the West End Theatres, Serpentine Gallery and much more.

The local transport links are great, as the location of the hostel in London is amazing. We are located within 3 minutes walking distance with luggage from either Queensway or Bayswater Tube or Metro Stations both train lines link to all the major train stations and to Heathrow Airport. There are 24 hour buses running next to the hostel which connect to many of the cities train and bus stations, making us accessible at day or night.

We offer a ensuite hostel London but still ensure that your safety and comfort are our primary concerns. Every room has been built with the London backpackers in mind, each room has it’s own shower and toilet giving you much needed privacy which other hostels cannot offer, custom build beds, design with privacy and functionality in mind. The beds have curtains and panels ensuring that your stay is private and comfortable. The rooms are locked with electronic key card locking systems and we provide lockers and safes in the rooms which use the same locking system. Safes can be located in reception which is open 24 hour to help you with any questions or problems you may have. All rooms are cleaned daily and maintenance checks performed weekly, making us one of the safest hostel London.

Hydepark Hostel has 24 hour FREE Wi-Fi and internet cafe, TV common room, self service laundry and dryer facilities, FREE breakfast, late night bar, currency exchange, travel shop and much more.

Beat the long lines and wait at your favourite attraction as you can buy Fast Track tickets to all the major London attractions such as Madam Tussauds and the London Eye directly from our reception desk. We also sell discount theatre tickets to all major shows in the West End of London.

Our location as a Bayswater hostel means we are also an ideal venue to see London’s vibrant nightlife, we have a small bar which is open till the early hours of the morning and offers good value drinks. We are within walking distance to all the major clubs, bars and the trendy Mayfair and Notting Hill areas, but not close enough to disturb your nights rest. There is no curfew or lockout and our transport links are so good you can party the night away until anytime.

For your added security we require a £10 security deposit on arrival for the room key. If you pay by credit card we also charge 5% fee.

We urge you to read all of our small print in the Terms & Conditions on this website.
•    SECURITY DEPOSIT: additional to your stay, we will require a GBP 10.00 cash security deposit to hold for the duration of your stay. This deposit will be reduced for any damages, lost or stolen items or for late check-out. Barring this, it will be returned in full at check-out. Private rooms will not be subject to this fee, but a credit card will be put on-file and charged for any and all damages. Charges will be disclosed in advance. Please see our Terms for further information.
•    PAYMENT: all payment is due on arrival to the hostel. Please have your payment plan sorted. Credit card payments are subject to a 5% processing fee. Private room guests may defer payment to checkout, but a credit card hold will be issued at check-in. Private room guests are not subject to the processing fee for payments as it is included in the cost of your stay.
•    CHECK-OUT: check out is by 10:00 for dorms, and by 11:00 for private rooms on the day of departure. Late check outs are subject to a GBP 10.00 late check out fee.
•    AGE: We require guests under 12 to be booked into private accommodation. If booking a dormitory for a family, please email us before booking to guarantee private placement is available. Hotel rooms are not restricted by age, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Definitions

Adult: Any person who is above 16 years of age.
Child: Any person who is at or below 16 years of age.

General

1. All bookings are subject to availability and we reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

2. Rooms/Dorms are available from 11:00am on the day of arrival; however if you arrive early you are welcome to drop off any luggage in the morning at the hotel.

3. Check out time is before 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

4. Customers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an Adult.

6. Check-in Deposit

a. A Deposit of £10.00 per person will be charged at the time check-in for the swipe card(s) and the Linen/ Blanket(s) provided. The deposit is only accepted in cash (in GBP only). This deposit will be refunded to you on departure.

b. You would lose your Deposit:

i. If you check out later than 10:00 AM of your departure day.

ii. If you lose the Swipe Card, Linen or Blanket.

iii. If your behaviour results in you being asked to leave the hotel.

Payments

1. In order to secure your booking you must pay a Booking Deposit (non-refundable) equal to 10% of Total Booking Amount.

2. We accept all cash payments in British Pounds (GBP) only. Although all our Hotels have the Currency Exchange facility to Convert Euros and Dollars to British Pounds (GBP).

3. Credit/Debit Card Payments

a. If payment is made using a Credit/Debit card an additional charge of 5% of the total booking amount will be charged.

b. The person paying through the Credit/ Debit Card should be present at the time of check in with the same Credit/ Debit Card with which the payment was made. If not, the customer will have to pay in cash and the charges made on the Credit/ Debit Card will be refunded in full.

You will be asked to produce a confirmation from the holder of the card along with a legible photocopy of the Credit/ Debit Card (both sides) through which the payment was made along with a legible signed photocopy of a personal Identification (Passport) of the person holding the card.

4. If you make a payment in a Currency other than GBP, at the time of Check-in the balance payment will be converted to GBP based on that day’s conversion rate.

Cancellations

To cancel a Booking you should notify us in writing. “Writing” means letter, fax or email.

1. We require 24 Hours notice to cancel a Booking. Please Note that the Booking Deposit is Non-refundable in any circumstances. The 24 Hours are counted backwards from the Check-in time (11:00 AM) on the Arrival Date (and not the time of arrival you have mentioned while making the Booking).

2. If cancelling is within 24 Hours of arrival date, we will charge the full amount for the first night of your stay.

3. Weekly Bookings: Since a huge discount is given on all the weekly bookings, the payment once made is not refundable under any circumstances.

If you change your Booking

Subject to availability, you may change your booking before your arrival date.

1. Changes requested within 24 hours of the date of arrival will be treated as cancellations (see “Cancellations” above).

2. Changes to a confirmed reservation (e.g. changes in dates of stay or changes in numbers of people and nights booked) are subject to availability of a suitable alternative and are subject to any additional costs incurred in making the changes to accommodate your request.

3. If you prepone or postpone an entire booking you would be expected to pay the difference in the rates/tariff based on the date the booking is moved to.

4. We will inform you of the amount of any additional costs when you request any changes and shall agree such costs with you before any such changed are confirmed.

5. For any decrease in the number of nights and/or people in a confirmed booking, an admin charge equal to 10% of the charges for the number of nights and/or people being reduced will be charged.

6. All changes will be subject to the availability of a suitable alternative.

Refunds

All refunds take up to 10 working days to process.

Weekly Bookings

Weekly Bookings: Since a huge discount is given on all the weekly bookings, the payment once made is not refundable and non-transferable in any circumstances.

Special Offers

Any special offers from time to time will have their own terms & conditions attached with it.

Behaviour

If your behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable or causes damage, your booking may be terminated and you may be asked to leave our hotel premises. No whole or part refunds will be made under these circumstances.

Property

We shall not be liable to you for property left in the rooms, our lockers or the luggage room, we are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property which may occur within the hotel.

Delay or Failure to Perform

We shall not be liable to you if we are prevented or delayed in the performing of any of our obligations to you if this is due to any causes beyond our reasonable control including (without limitations): act of terrorism, an act of God, flood, fire or accident; war or civil disturbance; strike, industrial action or stoppages of work; any form of government intervention; a third party act or omission; failure by you to give us a correct delivery address or notify us of any change of address.

Follow signs within the airport to find the Heathrow Express boarding platform. Board the Heathrow Express and remain on the train until it reaching Paddington Station. Exit the Heathrow Express at Paddington Station and exit the station onto PRAED STREET. Turn RIGHT and continue STRAIGHT. PRAED STREET becomes CRAVEN ROAD. CRAVEN ROAD becomes CRAVEN HILL. CRAVEN HILL becomes CRAVEN GARDENS. At the intersection of CRAVEN GARDENS and LEINSTER TERRACE, turn LEFT onto LEINSTER TERRACE. From Bayswater Station, turn RIGHT onto QUEENSWAY ROAD. At the end of Queensway Road, turn LEFT onto BAYSWATER ROAD. When you land at London Luton Airport, catch the free Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal at Bay 1. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes where you can catch a First Capital Connect train southbound into London. Board the train and remain onboard until you reach London King’s Cross Station. Transfer to the London Underground and board a westbound Circle Line train towards High Street Kensington. Alight at Bayswater Station. From Bayswater Station, turn RIGHT onto QUEENSWAY ROAD. At the end of Queensway Road, turn LEFT onto BAYSWATER ROAD. From Piccadilly Circus

Regent Street / Jermyn Street Stop Y

Approximate journey time: 35 minutes
Board the Route 94 Bus towards Acton Green / Duke of Sussex. Ride until you come to the Porchester Terrace stop and exit the bus. Cross the street and turn right, walking down Bayswater Road with the park on your right-hand side. Walk until you see Leinster Terrace and turn left onto LeinsterTerrace. Walk along for about 200 metres until you see the Craven Gardens Hotel on your right-hand side. The Smart Hyde Park View's entrance is in the Craven Gardens Hotel at 16 Leinster Terrace.

From Oxford Circus
